Hi and welcome. I guess you're here to learn a little bit about me. My name is Brian Lock and I love to create. I've been doodling, sketching, drawing, painting and generally making a mess for as long as I can remember. I received my BFA from the Illinois Institute of Art - Schaumburg in 2005, where I majored in computer animation. While I love to dabble with animation, I've yet to make it my career...so in the meantime, I'm in accounting by day and playing with clay in my spare time.
I have written and illustrated two children's poetry books, "There's a Hippo in my Bathtub" and "Chicken Lips & Rocket Ships", which was just released this past December. I like to think that this has helped to answer that never ending question of "Am I ever going to grow up?" with a resounding "No!" but the question still seems to surface from time to time - usually from my wife.
My interest in polymer clay arose as my own personal creative therapy shortly after the loss of our son this past year. What had started out as a mental get-away, has become a truly enjoyable hobby that others seem to be enjoying as much as I do.
When I'm not playing with clay, I enjoy spending time with my wife, daughter and the best little dog in the world, Casper.
Thanks for taking the time to check out my site, and I hope you'll come back again!
